Paul Griggs founded Alley Side Homes in 2025 with Aiden Griggs. Paul graduated from Michigan State University in 1996 with a B.A., attained valuable business experience in insurance and real estate, then found a passion for building under the mentorship of John Patterson.  After attaining his builders license in 2000, he was an active builder and carpenter until 2010 when he began his time as Construction Safety Consultant for the State of Michigan.  In 2016 he started Griggs Construction Services and continues to serve his clients as a home builder and remodeling contractor in this area. Traverse City has always been Paul’s home. He has contributed to the community by serving on the city’s board of zoning appeals, the board of Habitat for Humanity, and as a youth sports coach.

Aiden Griggs is co-founder and set up the design and drafting systems. He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a degree in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at Purdue University. Aiden is dedicated to advancing energy-efficient design and sustainable construction methods.
